Public Performance Of 'Romeo Juliet & Etc'
Venue: Unicorn Theatre, London
An amazing performance of Romeo & Juliet Etc by the participants. The show was attended by the parents, friends, general public and some drama & theatre experts like Graham Watts- Senior Examiner Trinity College London, David Allen- Director Midland Actors Theatre and Linda Macros- Chief Examiner, LAMDA .

Technical Rehearsal

The cast and crew worked on setting up the lights, sound and stage settings a day before the show.

Getting Ready For Performance Assessment

Level: Grade-8 Solo/Duo
The participants appeared for the performance assessments at the LAMDA studio in London. They all passed with distinction.

Workshop: Fundamentals Of Musical Theatre

The participants attended a specially curated musical theatre workshop at the LAMDA studio with the LAMDA faculty.

Shooting The 'Two Households' Music Video

The participants performed in the shoot of the music video for the song 'Two Households' from the play Romeo Juliet & Etc.

Tour: British Library
Venue: British Library, Euston Rd, London
The participants toured the British Library and saw the original copy of the Shakespeare's First Folio and other historical documents related to Shakespeare and his works.

Watching The Musical, 'Guys & Dolls'
Venue: Bridge Theatre, London
We went to watch the classic musical 'Guys & Dolls' at the iconic Bridge Theatre by the London Bridge. The objective was more than just an entertaining evening, it was time for the program participants to see the scale, rigor and commitment of the actors in a world class professional theatre performance.

Venue: Shakespeare's Globe, London
Specially curated tour of the Shakespeare's Globe included a brief history of theatre in London and origins of Shakespeare's plays and performance.

Workshop: Shakespeare In Action
Venue: Shakespeare's Globe, London
In this fast action-based workshop, the participants worked with the amazing Shakespeare's Globe faculty to understand actioning with Shakespeare's text. We used excerpts from Romeo & Juliet to decode actions in the text and how to perform these on stage.

Workshop: Acting In Song
Facilitator: Bart Lambert
Venue: Unicorn Theatre, London
Acting In Song is an essential skill for an actor performing a Shakespeare's play. Our participants learnt the basic techniques of voice, chorus and performing a scene while singing.

Reading Session
Venue: British Film Institute Cafe, Southbank, London
The participants spent an afternoon doing a dramatic reading of Romeo & Juliet.

Tour: Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall
Venue: Stratford Upon Avon, UK
The participants toured the school William Shakespeare went during his boyhood. They also attended a teacher-in-role sessions in the schoolroom learning about the life and the times of Shakespeare.

Tour: Shakespeare's Birthplace
Venue: Stratford Upon Avon, UK
The participants visited the Shakespeare's house where he is believed to be born. There was a guided tour and short performances from the plat As You Like It. The actors also interacted with the actors.

Rehearsal: Scene Work & Pre-Production Planning
Venue: Joy Of Drama Studio, New Delhi
The participants worked six full-days on blocking scenes, learning the songs and choreography. Also, there were pre-production discussions with the various task teams.

Rehearsal: Working In A Performance Space With Lights & Sound
Venue: Akshara Theatre, New Delhi
The actors rehearsed their scenes in a theatre space with lights and sound cues. They made the required adjustments in their movements and scene blockings to make them work with the lights. The actors also did full dress rehearsals of certain scenes and worked on choreographing the movements.

Session: Speaking Shakespeare Text
Facilitator: Katie Georgiou, Alumni RADA
The participants got the opportunity to get in reading session with the Katie Georgiou to understand to speak Shakespeare's text in the right context. They also discussed the motivations of the various characters in the play.

Session: Speaking classical text & how to build character
Facilitator: Tom Kane, Actor, Writer & Guest Faculty RADA, London
The participants got into a reading session with the British actor, Tom Edward Kane to understand the system of speaking Shakespeare's text. They also learnt how the kind of language a character has been given codifies its character traits.

Masterclass: Understanding Romeo & Juliet

The participants got the opportunity to learn from the veteran actor and director Graham Watts.

Session: Actors Read Romeo & Juliet
Facilitator: Vaishali Chakravarty, Director, Joy Of Drama
The participants read the text of Romeo & Juliet with Vaishali Chakravarty to develop fluency and deeper understanding of the language and meaning of the text.
