In a career spanning 20 years, she has held several positions – from teacher to P.G. As the Principal, Ms.Jayachandran has brought many changes in the curriculum of the school by fostering it with new approaches and inclusive practices.

Ms Jayachandran has been instrumental in winning many national and international awards for her school. She has won several prestigious awards for her efforts including, Scoolstars Leadership Awards for excellence, Iconic Women Achievers Award, National Leadership Award for leadership in co-curricular education.

She is a resource person for Capacity building training programmes at national level organised by CBSE COE. She is a Member of Inspection Committee for the Inspection of Schools for Grant of Composite Provisional Affiliation up to Secondary level. She is the Treasurer of Kovai Sahodaya and has served as the Treasurer of Coimbatore Sahodaya School Complex, for two consecutive terms. She published a paper on the Stress level of CBSE school teachers and CCE and has visited Finland to study the modern concepts of Education.
